We are often asked whether it makes no difference whether the panel is fixed on long side or on short side.

OUR EXPLANATION:

The most correct answer is the classic one: it depends.
In fact, it is necessary to consult the Assembly instructions of the chosen photovoltaic panel.
There may be cases where fixing on the short side is not recommended (see example A).

Most commonly the panel manufacturer indicates the maximum load capacity of the modules working precisely of type of fastening; in particular, the fixing on the long side allows the panel to resist higher loads than the same panel fixed on the short side (see example B).
